8:03 PM – group date…..Anaheim is already bumming

8:05 PM – Photo Shoot?……..when that dude said “In Style” a few of the girls had looks on their faces that said “what is In Style.

8:06 PM – and Jake already had his shirt off……..Roslyn already wants to bite him, wow

8:07 PM – crotch shot!!!!!!!!!! Throw it around baby, who is this Roslyn chick? Someone should teach her the meaning of “lady in the street but a freak in the bed”

8:09 PM – time to go back to managing the restaurant Christina…….and Jake to the rescue, pilot in shinning armor.

8:14 PM – Manhattan swimsuit model is getting her time……oh no girl in a bikini, game on. These girls seem to begetting awfully Jealous for it being only episode 2.

8:15 PM – Jake trying to be sexy is funny…….now all of the girls are in their suits, Jake doesn’t know what to do with himself.

8:18 PM – I am confused does crazy chick from the OC want the diamond or Jake?

8:22 PM – Jake loves hearing what a great guy he is…..wow is Christina drunk? …..yep…..and enter Roslyn, she is about as subtle as an elephant. Jake seems uncomfortable with this forwardness. Second that he went straight for the rose. For her really?! This proves that all dudes do have one track minds. If super “nice guy” is this easily bought off…..

8:26 PM – love how these ladies are staring at the necklace…….the crazy girl seemed normal for a second. I like the Ally girl……early fav for me. I hate it when people on this show use the term “complete package”

8:30 PM – Isn’t this the girl that doesn’t like to fly? She is going to crap a brick, this is awesome. I thought having a fire extinguisher a good thing?

8:32 PM – maybe it is just me but is she overdressed for this? Good thing we got her that diamond necklace.

8:37 PM – now were in Palm Springs and parking in a field….oh Ally you aren’t going anywhere. She doesn’t seem likes a girl from New England.

8:40 PM – oh I forgot about the Florida girl, Vienna……this is awesome crazy girl didn’t get a date.

8:43 PM – Jake in for the kill…queue the kissing music.

8:44 PM – Chicago is still playing gigs? How in the world did they ever drag them away from Ft Lauderdale?

8:45 PM – great commercial tease….bring on the drama.

8:49 PM – Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, and ……Magic Mountain? Oh you mean the park is closed, and they get it all to themselves. That is still lame right?

8:51 PM – crazy Michelle is letting the crazy out. always worth it.

8:52 PM – Natalie thinks that Elizabeth is pretty. She has a note for him? What is this Junior High? A note about kissing? Wow she is playing a great game about this kissing thing. Me thinks Jake is eating this up.

8:58 PM – Cocktail time at Magic Mountain……nothing goes better with carnival games than a martini.

9:00 PM – Florida was engaged to the “pastor’s kid” broke is off and eventually eloped to a guy she didn’t know and got divorced 4 months later….wow I actually feel bad for her. I may have read her wrong.

9:01 PM – no Ashley he doesn’t want to kiss you.

9:02 PM – I knew that kissing note from Elizabeth messed with his head…..she cashed in with a rose.

9:10 PM – I had forgot about Ella, the kick boxing mom from Tennessee. Happy Birthday here is your cupcake and an awkward kiss on the cheek.

9:11 PM – Tinley now if not the time to tell him about the first marriage…..don’t do it!!! Does it seem like there are a lot of divorced chicks this go round of the show?

9:15 PM – Michelle is classic crazy. She scares me and it bothers me a bit to think that se lives a couple of miles away. Is this her game crying on rose ceremony nights? This is like fatal attraction.

9:16 PM – Perhaps it is just me but does this crazy Michelle person have a Martina McBride look? Let freedom ring!

9:21 PM – Roslyn bugs…..Chris seems pissed. What a ho! She is totally not denying. This is awesome. Chris looks like he wants to scream this could be his best moment as a host on the show. Come in a limo leave in a van. Peace out.

9:25 PM – If I were ABC not sure I would let her go back in and talk to the other girls.

9:31 PM – Chris is telling Jake…..I think he may cry, Jake that is.

9:33 PM – Come on Jake…how did you not see this coming? I mean Roslyn had “I’m here for the wrong reasons” written all over her. She will milk her rive minute of fame on the talk shows all week.

9:42 PM – All of the girls are shocked and crying except for crazy Anaheim. Are they really surprised or is it just the pressure of the show bringing about emotions?……Is Jake playing a victim card? Way to speak up crazy Anaheim….you’re still psycho.

9:51 PM – did Jake just refer to Roslyn messing around as an Affair? He has known her for what a couple of days……Can you believe it after all the good times she was cheating.

9:52 PM – Rose time……send crazy Anaheim home, no wait keep her. She has more to offer. Vienna…..ok…Gia….sure whatever…..Tinley…..good my wife’s fav….. Ella…. everyone’s favorite mom….. Alicia….. boring……. Corey…who?… .Jessie…  .hmmm…… Ashely H……for sure….. Michelle….more drama to come…..Katherine…whatever?

9:56 PM – peace out Cristina and other Ashley with the Halloween costume…. Didn’t Christina bring parting gifts for the other girls last week?

9:58 PM – Jake you hang in there….you wife IS here.

As much as I like the weird moments that Jake creates as a bachelor. I think I enjoy watching the Bachelorette format more, something about dudes going after a girl. All of these ladies chasing Jake and his abs is too much petty drama. Couldn’t look away if I tried and believe me I have tried.

On another note the flight was great. I always enjoy flying Asiana. Sat on the last row of the plane, got about 6 hours of sleep and watched 2 movies. Oh, and I was in the minority on the flight which actually always feels strangely nice.  Started off trying to watch Terminator Salvation and fell asleep. Only to wake up 6 hours later and pick up right where I left off over some delicious cuisine. Does anyone really like this movie? I understand fans of the series, Terminator is a great saga if you will, but this movie sucked big time. That coming from a Christian Bale fan. (as an actor not a person) No need to worry though the mediocrity would be swept away during the next feature which was none other than The Proposal.  I watched this becoming romantic comedy while we were landing, the entire time thinking “Natalie would be proud”. In fact she loved this movie and cannot wait to purchase it. When it was in the theater our small group went to the movies split up and the guys watched The Hangover while the girls watched The Proposal. So, although my wife had watched this wonderful slice of film already, I had not. First of all I love Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. Enjoyed the movie but not in the same way or to the same degree that Natalie did I am sure. After the show came the customs forms. Does anyone else not like filling these out? No matter how many times I do it I always worry that I am answering wrong and am going to be detained.

We landed an hour early 4:30am Seoul time. There was a log jam getting off the plane. Herding cattle doesn’t even begin to describe it. To no one’s surprise the holdup was a swine flu check point. You got pocked and prodded with this light thing they ultimately taped behind your ear. Still the whole thing went pretty fast, and after clearing customs in a record 30 min I had an hour to kill before I could catch a bus into town. It was then that I came upon a peculiar site, in the main reception at the Inchon International Airport there was a Mc Donald’s directly across from a KFC. Now both of these fine establishments are popular in Korea and China, so the interesting sight was that in front of the Mc D’s sat Ronald on a bench (I know you may have seen this before) and across the way in front of KFC stood the Colonel, Colonel Sanders that is. They were facing each other in a stare down. Now maybe it is because it was 5am and I had just been on a 12 hour flight but the grudge match of statues was pleasing to my need for entertainment. 

Finally on the bus for the hour long journey into town, to say that I was tired and delirious would be an understatement. Seeing the Hilton on the horizon brought hope. I jumped out of the bus grabbed my bags and headed to the front desk. Only to be told that if I wanted to check in this early I would have to pay for an extra night. Of course I refused and after some excellent discussion was told that if I could wait till 10am that I could check in with no additional charge.

So here I am. Waiting in the lobby trying to map out how to get to my 11:30am meeting and eagerly awaiting my 10am check in. Probably the one thing I can never get over is the complete weirdness of losing an entire day when you fly this direction.

8:02 PM – The tease in the beginning just portrayed something going wrong in the bedroom. Please let it be Ed. Dang it Kypton is first. Here we go

8:05 PM – Treetops/Ropes course date? Seems kind of lame to me. Jil just said she wants to see some teamwork. Weird. This date reminds me of summers at Kanakuk Kamp.

8:08 PM – Leap of Faith…I think this date is better than I initially thought. I have a feeling that Jil is going to freak out. What if in the course of getting to know someone in a dating relationship you had to do these kind of things together? That might be good to see someone in this setting…..Natalie just said that Kypton is “cute”. I think that he is Natalie’s favorite, maybe even Jil’s.

8:17 PM – Jil just referred to Kypton as a “dumper” as opposed to the “dumpee” and that is what worries her. More fake talk about falling in love. I don’t buy it because it seems so uninspired.

8:19 PM – Kypton just admitted that he doesn’t deal well with “bumps in the road” that can’t be a good revelation. They both seem unsure to me. And here comes the fantasy suite, what will happen. All the dudes are jonesing to stay the night with her. Jil just said we “need” this time. You bet Jil, you bet. Followed by awkward shoots in the fantasy sweet and fade to commercial. Next up Reid.

8:25 PM – Reid just said he wanted to make out and Jil went for it, nice. I feel like he is more just her buddy. More kissing and here is the heli, how original bachelorette bring in the helicopter.  Reid compared the ride to being in heaven. Wow you have some high expectations of heaven.

8:28 PM – the pilot just said that he is an ordained minister and could marry them right now in the air. Followed by Jil saying, “let’s get this shit done”. So far that was the best line of the episode. Natalie just proclaimed that “she likes him too, I can tell.”

8:31 PM – Reid just described himself as a four year old. And when jil wanted an answer about what he would do if this was the end. Instead of answering he just started kissing her. Does it work that way? It didn’t work that way for me. I tried.

8:37 PM – Natalie is confused at who she likes more Reid or Kypton. ABC is obviously playing games with her head.  She just told Reid that she wants him to move to Vancouver, but said she could move to Philly for a couple of years. I am starting to think that this doesn’t work both ways. Jil wants it her way. Is moving to Philly for 2 years really compromise. Reid is now waffling on the commitment talk. Jil doesn’t like his back and forth. Just called him a magic 8 ball. Natalie thinks he is getting pressured. I agree.

8:41 PM – The convo ends with the fantasy sweet coming out. Reid says he is scared? Interesting, Ed would be jumping on that. Jil wants it. Here we go. Natalie thinks that Jil is too pushy. I wonder if ABC gives these people condoms, I’m just saying……………….Reid is afraid of the “L” word and Natalie says that he reminds her of herself. That sounds about right.

8:44 PM – Hello bubble bath! Are they naked? Dang it commercial………..Boo, Ed is up.

8:49 PM – I won’t lie. Ed kills me. Natalie hates him, or so she says. She also loves Jil’s outfits. Ed sure does like to rub up on her. I just realized that he reminds me of Glen Quagmire. Ed’s family calls him Richie but he prefers “Edward”. Can we fast forward?

8:52 PM – Natalie thinks that Ed’s shorts are “1970”. Wow they are way too short. Blah Blah Blah.

8:53 PM – Here we go; Ed’s parents are in Hawaii. I will now refer to him as “Richie”. The parents move “melts her heart”.

8:59 PM – Just got a peek of Richie’s butt-crack, that’s what I wanted to see. Money Shot!!! Man those shorts are Bill Walton circa 1977. His parents are a bit overwhelmed and weird.  Richie’s dad just asked “what the hell are we doing here?” His dad is really pissed off, this could be entertaining.

9:02 PM – Richie just said he would propose if he won immediately followed by I take marriage serious. I don’t think he realizes that he just contradicted himself. I get the feeling Richie is not the best with the ladies back in Chicago.

9:04 PM – Dad is crying to Jil. Don’t think dad is very good with the ladies either.

9:05 PM – Dear Richie, only David Beckham can pull off those short shorts, for obvious reasons.

9:06 PM – fantasy suite time. Richie is going to get his groove on, or at least try. Jil wants some “sexy” time. This is about to get good……something happens in the bathroom. Commercial.

9:11 PM – ABC is going way too far with this Dating in the Dark show. I am tired of seeing the commercials. Even I won’t be watching. And I watch most crap.

9:12 PM – Natalie is not buying Jil’s claim that Richie is “sexy”, me neither.

9:14 PM – This dude is supper handsy and he is selling himself hard right now. Richie likes to rub up on Jil. Here we go off to the bedroom. He just smelled his arm pit. Richie is “mesmerized” (his words not mine). Jil is in lingerie. Cue the music.

9:17 PM – Oil just got involved. Out go the lights. Lights back on. Are they inferring that Richie couldn’t “make it happen”? That was maybe the weirdest moment of the season.

9:24 PM – Chris Harrison has to be the worst host on TV……No wait what is the guys name on Dancing with the Stars? He is worse. Jil wonders if Kypton is just another pretty face. Worried that he has a wall up and will break her heart.

9:27 PM – Reid makes her laugh. They are like “2 teenagers” says Jil.

9:29 PM – Jil is worried that the chemistry is not there with Richie.  Natalie hates Richie and she reminds me of that often. Video messages to come from the guys before the rose ceremony……. After these commercials.

9:35 PM – Video time, Kypton is laying it on quite smooth. He just said, “let’s do this”

9:37 PM – Reid opens up about the commitment questions on the video. Not as smooth as Kypton but honest. Did he just say “honey bear”? Was he talking about himself?

9:38 PM – Oh Richie, just go home you have nothing good to say. You blew it in the suite. He just said, “I love you”. This guy is desperate and has obviously not dated much. He acts like it is his last chance. Probably is.

9:44 PM – Seriously ABC I will NOT watch this show Dating in the Dark.

9:45 PM – Rose ceremony. I wish I could record all of the mean things Natalie is saying about Richie right now. Let’s do this!

9:46 PM – Jil wants to talk to Richie some more. Kypton and Reid just looked at each other as if to say “really”

9:48 PM – Jill is worried about the chemistry. Richie is still trying to rub on her and saying weird things. Still rubbing. Playing with her hair. Please don’t pick him.

9:50 PM – ok, here we go…..Kypton first rose. PLEASE kick Richie/Ed the the curb. She just picked Richie. Wow Reid is out. Evidently I suck at picking dudes. Not sure what that means.

9:53 PM – Jil seems very unsure of her decision.

9:55 PM – Don’t blame yourself Reid……my wife thinks your adorable. Therefore we will never go to Philly.

9:58 PM – I can’t believe this clown Richie is still here. He just crept up on Jil like a stalker. So Richie and Kypton. Money on Kyper, right?

-          Horrible dancing I am embarrassed for both of them. Nice pants kyp!!
