Tracking Number Please
An-nyeong-ha-se-yo. My time in Korea has been very crazy. I showed up to the Exhibition Hall to set up and my boxes were no where to be found. I spent a better part of the afternoon trying to find out where they may be and how I can get them back. I have had no luck. That is until last night when
I found out some tracking information. Good right? Yep, except that today is Sunday and the Korea Post, who now has the boxes, is closed. So this morning I rushed to the Link O to make copies of the only brochure I have left. Trust me it is never fun to spend the day at an exhibit with nothing to give. Still, overall the exhibit is amazing. It is by far the largest of its kind that I have ever seen. The booths are elaborate, some are even 2 stories. The Australian Education Pavilion which is just down the isle has a Kangaroo and Koala mascot that travel about and provide a bit of comic relief. People in costumes always a crowd pleaser.
Korea has been nice. (Other than not having any materials to pass out) Yesterday I ate at a Chicago-Style Pizzeria, and hit up the Coffee Bean. There is not much more Korean than that. Then came the afternoon and in
need of a pick me up I made a mistake in my choice of beverage. Instead of running down stairs to the bucks or the bean, I chose to trust the vending machine near our booth. After all there was a shinny can that resembled a chilled coffee beverage. Upon inquiring I was reassured by a fellow American that the drink was much like a canned Double Shot
from Starbucks. Wrong my friend so wrong. No worries though I have survived.
In my time in Asia I have been on a workout kick. I have been hitting the gym every day, save for the travel days. So far it has not been as rewarding as I have thought it might be. All I have to show is soreness every morning but I suppose these things take time. You don’t gain 20 pounds in a 9month period only to lose in one trip to Asia. In the gym in Seoul I stare at a Buddhist Temple as I labor away on the tread mill. I think I might explore there later today.
